Installation and Options
Is the WordStar Command Emulator hard to use?
No, it's very simple. Just copy the WordStar Command Emulator into your Word\StartUp folder and it will be available the next time you start Word.
Full installation details are available to:
- Install the WordStar Command Emulator (prior to Word 2007)
- Install the WordStar Command Emulator (Word 2007 and later)
Using the WordStar command emulator is then largely like using WordStar itself.
You can't see the code in the Visual basic Editor because you're not supposed to change it. The code is protected to prevent accidental changes which could cause incorrect operation.
This protection, along with placing the add-in in the Office\Startup folder also helps protect against virus infection. If you want to override any of the WordStar Command Emulator's operation you can do so by making an add-in of your own using the same command keys.
